Honest Burgers

This ain't my first Rodeo. I've been to Honest Burgers a couple of times before, once in Notting Hill where I had the best veggie burger I've ever tasted, and then in Hammersmith where the very same burger just didn't hit as nicely.

Every month, Honest Burgers do a special, and when this month's was announced I knew I had to try it. Fortunately, I was in Cambridge for a client meeting, after which a friend and I were down for trying the Grenada burger.

Consisting of a free-range, cereal-coated and fried chicken breast, American cheese, yellow pepper BBQ sauce, garlic & herb mayo and a 'Spice Isle' slaw, the Grenada burger was an absolute delight. Flavour, spice, heat, texture and ever-so succulent chicken.

Honest Burgers are also well known for their chips, which are skin-on and tossed with rosemary and salt. The Cambridge branch isn't shy with the condiments either, as when I'm being filthy I can't help but lather my fries in Heinz's finest.

Results may vary depending on branch, but get yourself to one to try the Grenada burger before the second week of July. If that fails, their vegan burgers at the Notting Hill branch is where it's at.

Value for money? £15 for burger and fries. Damn fine burgers, so definitely.

Would I return? If there is a special that looks enticing, most likely.
