Pizza Round-Up: Bad Boy Pizza Society and Zia Lucia

Two pizza places in this review, the first I tried in October on the Southbank. Bad Boy Pizza Society serves up deep pan, Sicilian-type pizza. I love this style of pizza, and it's probably my favourite. So therefore I'm doubly disappointed that the BBPS' Margherita just doesn't live up to scratch. While it looks great, the dough is neither light nor fluffy, resulting in a bland mess that is filling but hardly tasty. A disappointment for sure.

Thankfully, Zia Lucia turns out much better pizzas, in a Neapolitan style. We had the margherita and a pepperoni with extra chili peppers. Both pizzas were excellent - the sauce was suitably rich (could have been richer but it passes muster), the dough nice and light, and the dips to come with it each worthy of their addition.

While I won't be back to BBPS, Zia Lucia is a nice neighbourhood pizzeria that I'm happy to go to when Crisp is rammed.
